A Brilliant Leader

Often times, I see leaders that are more keen into keeping it as a position or a social status rather than rendering a service to others and the world. Trust me when I say they keep it as a "social status" especially here in the Philippines. You can see even on local TV news, the government "service men" themselves whom we voted holds title as social status and no service at all! I can dive deeper if you want me to, but I am here to talk about what true leadership is all about.

On recent article of Entrepreneur.com they show how successful leaders despite being so different from one another have in common. Most people think that great leaders are more extroverted, the ones who can make people listen them talk and all, but no! The most respected leaders in business and tech are often scattered wide spectrum of personalities. Great leaders of tech fall under the spectrum of introverts, yes introverts! They tend to be great listeners and know exactly how to handle people.

Let's take a look at Gap International's Infographic. Click image to Enlarge.

In the infographic, a brilliant leader has a mindset full of positivity, purposefulness, impact to others, and much less on self positioning but more on self improvement and accountability to actions. As I have mentioned before, self positioning is the kind of thing that people keep their leadership as a "social status" and not a service. It is all about Service to others and how much Impact on the world the leader could bring.

A Nature Trip from the past

In March 2012, I went to test out my new gear Canon EOS 1100D with my sisters. So we went far up north our city just to have a photoshoot. Below are images taken. Note: I will not post anything that would show my face or my family's face.

Falls a bit short. So, I decided to add my macro shots. Check them out!

A blast from the past!

One of the major things I have done during my 3-year absence in blogging is Rigs! As in, Computer Rigs! I have been obsessed about building high-end computer Rigs in such a short span of time!

My Glorious PC Master Race!

In 2012, our family ended our Internet Cafe, a family home business. It's not because it was no longer profitable but it was because my mother had gone tired of running it and the family was too busy to handle it. Lazy as it may sound, but we did enjoy its fruits for more than 5 years. Its income became our bread and butter and my father's salary went straight to retirement, investments, savings and emergency funds. It was still profitable despite the fact that in its last 2 years of running, our neighbor had a secret "PisoNet" shop in they're backyard, totally unregistered and illegal business. We ended its life because it was a family unanimous decision to stop running it. One of the reasons there was that the children have gone accustomed in curse words, trash talks and possibly porn-watching. We also tend to have regular theft happening especially if one or two customers request to use our comfort room. Lastly, we wanted our home to be a peace and quiet place.

I remember in November 2012, I went touring Malaysia and Singapore with my friend Kaye. After that weekend trip, I got fired and went jobless. During those jobless times, I became a social worker, a photographer, anything I could just to earn money. I remember for a few months from November 2012 to April 2013, I have been freelancing as anything online and offline. Until one day, my laptop and computer broke while my photography job expanded. I needed to break my bank savings to get a new computer and I just didn't want a new computer, I wanted a high-end one.

My friends introduced me to a local group of computer enthusiast and from there I have learned great deals of building a solid one. My experience in our family business regarding computer hardware has also helped me but the group really introduced me the expensive stuff! I remember those times I was depressed, Godless and all. So, I went "YOLO" on my savings and spent it on my first build named Bloody V.

After being broke, depressed and Godless, my mother insisted that I go back to Him and I did. Few months later, I got a job, a good one that pays a lot of money and even bought the Razer Kraken Pro Headset for me to match my newly built computer!

My new job in 2013 took so much time from me that all my other freelance jobs such as Photography stopped. My workouts at the gym also stopped. I started to get fat. I built my Woman Cave. I started to obsessively buy games via steam, origin and humblebundle. I became so blessed that I could see the obvious difference in my life Godless and with God.

Anyway, before the year end of 2013, in September, I decided to make a major upgrade to my system. It became Terra P and then a final major upgrade in November 2013 and it became Black Lotus.

Eyefinity Goody during 2013
My year through 2014 was also great. Nothing to update much except for my time bonding with my loved ones and my job. On spare time, gaming. Until such time that I got so sick because I almost never got out of my Woman Cave. So, I decided to downgrade my triple screen eyefinity setup. And upped my dual graphics card to a one massive single graphics card. In May 2014, I have upgraded my setup and named it Bumblebee!
